Bolton Public Library Construction Committee
Minutes for Wednesday, September 5, 2007
Present: John Christiansen, Kelly Collins, Pam Czekanski, Panny Gerken, Brent Gates, Ann Hurd, Roland Ochsenbein, Curt Plante, John Rodenhiser, Chris Rogers, Mickie Simpson, Chris Sterling, Bill Strapko, Bob Zak.
Absent: Joel Lindsay.
A quorum being present, Roland called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. Meeting location was Town Hall.
Roland proposed that the Library Construction Committee restate their votes from the previous meeting regarding finalists for Designer. John Rodenhiser motioned that the following will be invited to interview: Beacon Architectural Associates, Durland Van Voorhis, Lerner Ladds + Bartels, J. Stewart Roberts Associates, and Tappe’ Associates.
Second: Mickie; unanimous in favor.
Beginning at 6:10 p.m., the Committee interviewed representatives of Beacon Architectural Associates and their collaborators Adams & Smith Architects.
Beginning at 7:15, the Committee interviewed representatives of Durland Van Voorhis.
The interviews concluded at 8:15 p.m. Roland requested Committee input on the timing of our next meeting with the Board of Selectmen. Panny agreed to find out if the Selectmen’s meeting scheduled for 9/27 will be moved to 9/20, which would be better timing for our Committee. Kelly reminded the group that Anne Larsen (Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners) will be with us on 9/20, so timing will have to be addressed.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at __ p.m.
